Pokhara brought in its first foreign player

Nepal Premier League team Pokhara Avengers, whose marquee player is Kushal Bhurtel, has announced the team's first foreign player.

Wicketkeeper opening batsman Andries Gous, who has played 20 T20 Internationals and three ODIs for America, will represent the Avengers. Born in South Africa, he is also a former South African under-19 national cricketer.

Pokhara has announced the signing of Gaus through its social network. The 31-year-old Gause sent a video message of happiness after signing. He said that he is coming to Nepal for the first time and is excited to play in Nepal.

Gauss has the experience of playing in the West Indies Caribbean Premier League this year and has played franchise leagues like Global T20 Canada, Major League Cricket, International League T20.

Having made his debut for the US in April this year, he has played 20 T20 Internationals and has scored 598 runs with 5 fifties at an average of 33.22 and a strike rate of 148.01. He scored two fifties against Canada in the first two matches of his debut.
