February 20, Kathmandu. On the last trading day of the week, the stock market index NEPSE increased by 3.14 points on Thursday.
After that increase, the NEPSE index has remained at 2743 points. The turnover in the market has decreased. The previous day's turnover was 10.43 billion, today it was 8.62 billion.
As the price of 81 companies increased, 158 decreased while 5 remained stable. On this day, there is an attraction in life insurance. That sector increased by 2.42 percent. The business group rose the most at 3.77 percent as the prices of large market companies increased.
Non-life insurance increased by 0.64%, others by 0.57%. The decline rate of declining sectors was less than 1 percent. Banking 0.55, development bank 0.52, finance 0.17, hotel and tourism 0.31, hydropower 0.75, investment 0.37, manufacturing 0.81, microfinance 0.30 percent decreased.
The price of Guardian Microlife Insurance increased by 10 percent. Win Nepal microfinance increased by 9.69%, Aparhewakhola by 9.14%, Lakshmi microfinance by 8.21% and Upakar microfinance by 8.1%. The prices of Barahi Hydropower decreased by 8.35%, Geofah Energy by 5.78% and Dibyashwari Hydropower by 4.12%.
On the basis of turnover, Nepal Reinsurance Company, Himalayan Reinsurance, CEDB Holdings, NRN Infrastructure and Narayani Development Bank were ahead respectively.
