Today February 17, banking lifted the stock market, turnover exceeded 10 billion


Today February 17, Monday, the stock market index NEPSE increased by 29.87 points (1.10 percent). After the increase of that number, it has remained at 2727. The transaction amount has also increased along with the NEPSE index. The previous day's turnover was 9.47 billion, today it was 10.4 billion. As the price of 166 companies increased, 74 decreased while 4 remained stable.

The overall market rose on this day due to significant growth in the banking sector. As it is the largest sector in terms of capitalization, the influence of banking is more. This sector increased by 2.16 percent more than NEPSE today.

Similarly, development bank 0.33, hotel and tourism 2.29, investment 0.20, life insurance 0.89, production 0.77, microfinance 2.45, non-life insurance 1.07 and other groups increased 2.47 percent. Business decreased by 1.27 percent, hydropower by 0.15 percent and finance by 0.84 percent. 

6 companies' prices increased by 10 percent. Among the companies that have increased by 10 percent are Win Nepal Microfinance, Gurans Microfinance, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower, Excel Development Bank, Guardian Microlife Insurance and Divyashwari Hydropower. The price of recently listed Guardian has reached Rs 586 30 paise per share. 

The value of Saptakoshi Development Bank decreased by 10 percent. The value of Central Finance decreased by 4.5%, Green Development by 4.2% and Best Finance by 3.8%. 

Nepal Reinsurance Company, CEDB Holdings, NRN Infrastructure, Reliance Finance and United Idi Mardi Hydropower were ahead in terms of turnover.
